Obituary, The Barnesville Enterprise, October 3, 1968, P. 2, Column 7, Section 3: Clyde L. Grimes - Clyde Lester (Neute) Grimes of 213 Washington Street, Barnesville, passed away Sunday, September 29 at 5:30 P.M. at Barnesville Hospital. Mr. Grimes had been ill for a long time. He was born in Fairview, on January 7, 1903, a son of the late James Franklin and Margaret Belle Arnold Thompson and was a member of the Main Street Methodist Church, the Barnesville Masonic Lodge and had been employed by the state highway department as a mechanic. Surviving are his widow, Lillian Grimes of the home; two sons, David L. and Robert, both of Barnesville; one step-son, J. Jerry Murphy of Kettering; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Frank Long of Barnesville. The remains were taken to the Campbell Funeral Home on North Chestnut Street where friends were received. Masonic services were held Tuesday evening at 7:30 and final rites were held Wednesday, October 2nd at 1:30 P.M. with the Reverend C. Lester Farmer officiating. Burial was made in Crestview Cemetery.
