Dorothea Brandner was born Sept. 26, 1917, in McIntosh County, N.D., where she attended school. On Feb. 17, 1939, she married Edwin Meidinger, and they farmed near Wishek, N.D. In 1964, they moved to Wishek, where they lived until moving to Valley City in 1990. He died in 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie (Larry) Sayler, Valley City; two sisters, Esther Meidinger, Ellendale, N.D., Frieda Grace, Bismarck; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation: Monday from 1 to 8, with a prayer service at 7:30, in the Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home, Valley City. The prayer service will continue Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 in the funeral home. Funeral: Tuesday at 10:30 in the funeral home. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.
