Her condition was not considered serious until an hour or so before her death and her untimely demise was a distinct shock to her relatives and friends. Mrs. Drew was 62 years of age and had long been a resident of this place, where by her pleasing personality and winsome ways won for herself a host of loyal friends. Mrs. Drew was a member of the Methodist church, the Order of the Eastern Star and various social clubs. She was the first secretary of the 4x4club organized here nearly 30 years ago, and is the second member of the club to pass away. Mary E. Wehner was born December 5, 1865, in Suffield, Ohio, coming to Michigan with her parents, when about 15 years of age, having resided here for the past 47 years. Thirty-seven years ago she was united in marriage to Wm. Drew, and their life together has been a happy and congenial one. Besides her husband, she is survived by an aged mother, a sister, Mrs. A.N. French, of Durham, N.H., and one brother, John Wehner, of Cooks Mills. The funeral will be held from the home this afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J . H. Bancroft. Burial will be made in Mountain Home cemetery.From Otsego Union March 29, 1928.
