Birth: May 1, 1931 Vincennes Knox County Indiana, USA Death: Dec. 12, 1993 Vincennes Knox County Indiana, USA obert Eugene Wissel Sr., 62, Vincennes, Ind., died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes. He was born May 1, 1931 in Vincennes, the son of Raymond and Edith (Ales) Wissel. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Vincennes, and the Bicknell Country Club. He was an avid golfer. He worked for Prestolite as a machine operator for 22 years and also worked at the Bicknell Country Club. On Aug. 5, 1950, he married Margaret Ann Zeigler in the Old Cathedral, and she survives; with four sons, Robert Wissel Jr., Mooresville, Ind., Craig and Jeff Wissel, both of Vincennes and Jim Wissel of Indianapolis; one daughter, Virginia "Sis" Prichard, Vincennes; four brothers, Raymond Jr. and Paul Wissel, both of Vincennes, John Wissel, Indianapolis and Joe Wissel, Daleville, Ala.; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one son, Randy Wissel. The Rev. James Blessinger will conduct the services at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brockman & Sons Funeral Home, Vincennes, from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
