Notes taken from newspaper obituary - Linwood M. Scholl, Sr., 85, a former Lansdale resident, died this morning in Stroudsburg Manor Nursing Home, Stroudsburg, PA. Mr. Scholl was raised in Lansdale, PA and lived many years until moving to Dingman's Ferry 12 years ago. He was the son of the late Benjamin A and Mary Nicon Scholl. He had retired 12 years ago from Brooks Instrument Co., Emerson Electric, Hatfield, PA. He was a member of the Junior Order of Mechanics. Surviving are his widow, Clarissa M.; a daughter Grace Roland of Mardate, FL; two sons, George of Collegeville and Linwood M. Jr. of Dingsman's Ferry, PA. Private services will be held Monday. The Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home, Lansdale, handled the funeral arrangements. Linwood is buried in an unmarked grave with his three wives in Lansdale Cemetery, Lansdale, PA. Lynnwood Morell Scholl (how it was spelled on marriage license) was 21 years old when he married Mary Samtman. His occupation was listed as a fireman.
