Mary Belle Knoch Birth: Dec. 7, 1915 Death: Sep. 21, 2007 Mary Belle Knoch, 92, a longtime Marietta resident died in Springfield, Ohio on Friday, September 21, 2007. She was born December 7, 1915 in West Union, West Virginia the daughter of Oscar and Rosa (Carr) Henry. Mrs. Knoch graduated from Salem College in Salem, West Virginia with a Teaching Degree and taught elementary school on Big Flint for several years. While her husband, Carl was serving in the military during WWII, Mary worked in the Pentagon. Following the war, they moved to Marietta and Mary worked as an Executive Secretary for Peoples Bank and Trust until her retirement. She was an active member of The Chapel on the Hill Church and was Past Matron and Secretary of Marietta Chapter 59, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by a special niece Donna Walter of Springfield, Ohio; a nephew William Henry of Gallipolis, Ohio; several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Knoch in 1992; two sisters Zelma G. and Louise Henry; a brother Clairmont Henry and nephew Robert Henry. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM. in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family is being served by RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, Springfield.
