  Emma was employed at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver at the time of her death. Her death certificate indicates she was "caught" in a passenger elevator and sustained injuries that caused her death. The Denver Post lists her brief obituary not mentioning her husband Earl, so possibly he predeceased her. The obit mentions her sister Marie B. Schwarz and that Emma is the sister in law of Frank Schwarz of Detroit Michigan and great aunt of Eleanor (Schwarz) Weigle.
