Mary Margaret Whitla December 21, 1921~August 8, 2011 Sign Condolence Page View Condolence Page Mary Margaret Whitla, age 89 of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Logan, Ohio passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Hope Hospice Home in Bonita Springs, Florida. Born December 21, 1921 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Mary Magdalene (Schrader) Krannitz. Mary Margaret was a homemaker and had formerly worked for North American Company in Columbus, Ohio & had also worked for the Logan General Electric Glass Plant. She was a member of Saint John Catholic Church & also a member of the Moose Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Kay (Glyn) Acton of Bonita Springs, Florida & two sons, Edwin E. (Kathy) Chilcote of New Albany, Ohio & Joseph E. Terrel of Logan, Ohio. Six Grandchildren Spencer Terrel of Logan, Ohio, Tony Terrel of Millfield, Ohio, Cristal Sanborn O'Meara of Naples, Florida, Rachelle Sanborn of Miami, Florida, & Jeff & Paul Chilcote both of New Albany, Ohio. Three Great-Grandchildren Eva O'Meara & Cameron & Alex Terrel. Two brothers, James J. (Lola) Krannitz and John J. (Delores) Krannitz both of Logan, Ohio; four sisters, Joan I. Kunkler, Elizabeth J."Betty" Roop, Marjorie "Ann" (Ed) Kilbarger all of Logan, Ohio and Dorothy J. (Dale) Olive of Lancaster, Ohio. Sister-in-law Anna Mary Krannitz of Lancaster, Ohio. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband William Thomas Whitla (1998), sister & brother-in-law Catherine Agnes & Jay McDaniel Jr. and sister & brother-in-law Lucille & Paul Kunkler, and one brother, Charles R. Krannitz and two brother-in-laws Raymond Kunkler & Charles E. Roop Sr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:30 am, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Saint John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home Logan, Ohio where a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 3:45 p.m.
