Leingang, 96, Mandan, died Sept. 11, 2003, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:30 to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Frances was born Aug. 12, 1907, in St. Anthony, N.D., the daughter of Christ and Sarfina (Wetsh) Hoffman. She was raised and educated in St. Anthony. She married Adam J. Leingang on Nov. 7, 1932, in St. Anthony, where they made home till they moved to Mandan in 1942. Frances worked at Cloverdale Foods until retiring in 1969. Frances was a dedicated homemaker and excellent cook. She was an active member of St. Joseph Church, Mandan, Catholic daughters, Women of the Moose and Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Morris, Bismarck; one son and daughter in-law, Leonard and Pat Leingang, Mandan; one daughter-in-law, Chloe Leingang, Mandan; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adam; one son, Richard; five brothers Erasmus, Joe, George, Henry and Tim; and three sisters, Ann, Katherine and Betty. The family would like to thank the staff of Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for the loving care that was given to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
