Bio: Lucille Barbara Amalia (Reinboth) Hofts of Deshler NE, daughter of Carl and Laura (Getz) Reinboth was born in Carleton NE on October 1, 1919. She departed this life Tuesday July 3, 2018 at the age of 98 years. Lucille was baptized October 5, 1919 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedensau, NE by Rev. Schabacker and confirmed May 27, 1934 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE by Rev Cholcher.She attended North Friedensau school until the family moved to Deshler. Lucille then attended St. Peter Lutheran and Deshler schools.She married Arnold J. Hofts on June 23, 1939. They lived in Deshler and had 4 children. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler since 1941. Lucille worked at Blue Valley Care Home for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She received the Southeast Nebraska District Nursing Award upon her retirement. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church since 1941. She was active in Miriam Circle, Women of Peace, Bible Study, church bulletin folding. She attended church faithfully until her health no longer permitted. She enjoyed word search, missing vowels, cross stitch and embroidery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 5 brothers: Ralph (Bill), Harvey (Pete), Everett, Donald, Gary, 2 sisters: Adela and Olivia, and an infant son.She is survived by 2 sons: Rodney (Jan) of Indianapolis IN and Russell (Karla) of Omaha NE and one daughter: Renee (Mike) Steward of Woodbine, MD; 4 grandchildren: Jiliene Hofts, Allyson Rhoads, April and Michael Steward; 6 great grandchildren; sister Opal Hoage, sisters-in-law Gloria and Pauline Reinboth, nieces, nephews, friends.The family wishes to thank Meadowlark Heights Assisted Living and Parkview Haven Nursing Home for the wonderful care she received.Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE at 10:30 AM. Officiant will be Pastor Rich Stevenson, organist Julia Pohlmann, congregational hymns ?Just A Closer Walk With Thee?, ?One Day At A Time?, and ?Amazing Grace?, casket bearers; Ken Hofts, Scott Rhoads, Jack Rhoads, Bruce Reinboth, Jim Cabrera, and Ken Hoage. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5 at Kroll Funeral Home in Deshler 4PM to 6PM with family present. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com. Memorial to Peace Lutheran Church. Kroll Funeral Home of Deshler is in charge of arrangements.
