Novella Reinig CSC Jan. 29, 1903 – Mar. 12, 1987 South Bend Tribune 5/13/ 1987 Sister M. Novella Reinig CSC, 84, of Saint Mary's Convent, died there at 1:35 p.m. Thursday. She was born Jan. 29, 1903 in Waterloo, Ind., as Helena M. Reinig. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary's on Oct. 23, 1923, coming from Waterloo; was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1924, and professed her vows Aug. 16, 1926. She is survived by two brothers. She was a teacher throughout her community life and served in both elementary and secondary education in business. Her assignments were chiefly in Washington DC, Virginia, Pensylvania, New York and Maryland. She came to Our Lady of Holy Cross in 1975 and resided there until 1986, going to St. Mary's. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary's. Friends may call today and Saturday in St. Mary's Convent, where a wake will be held at 7 p.m. today.
