  [S927] Obituary. Mary Irene Sharp Newhart, 91, died at 8 p.m. Aug. 14, 1990, in Murdock Manor, Lafayette, where she had been a patient two months. Born May 27, 1899, in Delphi, she graduated from Delphi High School. She was married on Dec. 16, 1922, to Charles W. Newhart. They were married in a house on S. 14th St., Lafayette, and lived in the same house throughout their marriage. Her husband died Feb. 4, 1955. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lafayette, and Home Hospital Auxiliary and was a 62-year member of American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Myron Newhart of Lafayette and Dean Newhart of Spicewood, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.
