  [S927] Obituary. COSS, BILLIE COSS, Billie Von (Schafer,) 65, of S. Eighth Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007, in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born July 31, 1942, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Troy) Schafer. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus Lady?s Auxiliary; and Eucharistic Ministry all of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald ?Jerry? Coss; a brother, Edward Schafer; and a sister, Elizabeth Schafer Ellis. Surviving are her two nephews, George (Cindy) Adams and John Adams; three nieces, Mary Jo Ellis Villanueva, Lydia Lambert, and Cyndee Marling; mother-in- law, Marie Coss of Martins Ferry; two sisters-in-law, Mary E. Staley and Patti Cika both of Martins Ferry; and several great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, with the Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio. Rosary devotions will be recited Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
