Evelyn Ruth Neumann, resident of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, she was 91.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. John Aram, celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Mary?s Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Dick Robinson, presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Evelyn was born on April 29, 1920 to William Edward and Pearl Clementine Traynor in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She was raised in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She was married to Herman Hunter (now deceased) Albert Leterle (now deceased) and Cliff Neumann (deceased). She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, in her later years as a cook at American Legion Children's Home and as a day care giver for the Baptist Church in Blackwell, OK at which she loved showering the children with treats. She loved to dance. She loved her dog Stripe and loved watching QVC in her last months. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Evelyn is survived by her son, William Leterle of Ponca City, OK; daughter, Terri Leterle of Farmington, New Mexico, one sister Betty of Ponca City, two brothers, Jack Traynor of Ponca City and Dick Traynor of Tacoma, WA, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Jeanette Leterle, one great granddaughter, Mandy, seven brothers and two sisters.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Ste. 103 Ponca City, OK 74601, to whom the family is most grateful for their caring, loving, specialness and joy that all brought to their mother.
