(July 19,l 2003) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran where he served on the USS Ranger.
He retired from Wabash Coffee at Vincennes, Indiana where he worked as a
sales representative.
Memberships; St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic
Minister and was a Mass Server - 4th Degree Knights of Columbus - VFW
Post # 673 and the American Legion Post 147 in Jasper.
He was Born in Jasper, Indiana on January 11, 1922. Parents; Anton G. and
Theresia (Rees) Vollmer. Married to Marian Kennedy on August 16, 1958
at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
Surviving are his wife Marian.
1 son; Tony Vollmer, Indianapolis, IN
1 granddaughter Emily Anne.
2 sisters; Justine Vollmer and Mrs. Ed ?Joan? Pfister, both of Jasper, IN
2 brothers; Tom Vollmer, Jasper, IN and Robert Vollmer, Evansville, IN
Preceding him in death are 2 brothers; Msgr Roman F. Vollmer and Eugene
Vollmer died in infancy.
Funeral services for Ambrose J. Vollmer will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview
Cemetery in Jasper. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct Military Grave
Side Rites.
Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher - Kluesner
Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday by the 4th Degree Knights of
Columbus.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a
favorite charity.
