  [S927] Obituary. Note: From the Herald: "Alice Bockelman, 95, Jasper, died at 12:37 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Providence Home Health Center in Jasper. She was born at St. Anthony Dec. 3, 1915, to August and Clara (Alles) Wehr. She married Sylvester Bockelman June 12, 1934. He died Jan. 27, 1997. Surviving are a son, Jerry Bockelman, Evansville; five daughters, Mrs. Ray (Darlene) Plog of Naples, Fla., Mrs. Bob (Janice) Miller of Huntingburg, Mrs. Tim (Jocye) Nonte of Patoka, Linda Bockelman, Bloomington, and Mrs. Charlie (Donna) Gillman, Batesville; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Bonifer, and a grandson. Mrs. Bockelman was a volunteer quilter for Tri-Cap and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, St. Anne Society and Original Extension Homemakers Club. She worked in the Precious Blood School cafeteria for 13 years. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Jasper."
