Brown, 89, formerly of 801 Tygart St., Parkersburg, died Monday evening at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. John Harvey and Mary Ellen McWilliams Brown. He attended Limestone United Methodist Church. He retired from DuPont in 1965 and was a former employee of Standard Oil Company and American Viscose. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sterling and Fanell Brown of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson Gary Brown in 1964; four brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Custer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
