Billy was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T, where he worked in industrial communications. Billy loved to race and work on cars, but loved his wife Mary more than anything.He is survived by one son, Rick Farnsworth; two grandsons, William Corey Farnsworth and Cole Farnsworth; six nieces, Rebecca Garrison of Charlotte, NC, Christina Corey of Alabama, Allison Shaw of Columbus, OH, Cecilia Gumm of Seattle, WA, Christine Morrison of Marietta, OH and Melissa Grande of Bethel Park, PA; great niece, Audrey Gumm and a great nephew, Liam Grande.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Marie Farnsworth, whom he married on October 1, 1955; and a sister and brother in law, Carlyle and Helen Hill.A family visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH.
