  [S927] Obituary. Ethel C. Heppner, age 80, of Louisville, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2000 in St. Joseph Care Center following a sudden illness. Ethel was born September 5, 1919 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late Victor and Dora (Frank) Monter. She was a former bookkeeper at Molly Stark Hospital and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Ethel was a member of St. Ann?s Altar and Rosary, Columbus Women?s Club, Harrisburg Senior Citizens and the F.O.E. Women?s Auxiliary. She was active in the Linden Hall Homemaker?s Club and numerous card and social clubs. Ethel leaves behind two daughters, Dian DeGasperis of Canton and Sue Heppner of North Canton; three sons and four daughters-in-law, Larry and Janine Heppner of Cincinnati, Tom and MaryJo Heppner of McConnellsville, Bob and Kathy Heppner of Lithonia, and Joyce Heppner of Chagrin Falls; three sisters, Helen Polus of Louisville, Isabelle Monter of Louisville, and Kathleen Chenevey of Alliance; eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard J. Heppner, who passed away January 11, 1974, a stepmother, Cora Monter, a son, Dennis Heppner; a sister, Sister Joanita, and three brothers, John, Paul, and Austin Monter. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
