  [S927] Obituary. Helen M. Polus, age 91, formerly of Maximo, passed away Wednesday, Dec-ember5, 2001, in St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville, following an extendedillness. Helen was born Sept. 25, 1910 in Harrisburg, the daughter of thelate Victor and Dora (Frank) Monter. She was a member of St. Joseph CatholicChurch in Maximo and was active in the church's Altar and Rosary Society.Helen leaves behind two daughters and son-in-law, Theresa Polus of Allianceand James (Mary) Lucas of Louisville; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph(Barbara) Polus of Selley Lake, MT; two sisters, Kathleen Chenevey ofAlliance and Isabelle Monter of Louisville; two grandchildren, Joseph andKelly Polus, both of Bozeman, MT. Besides her parents, Helen is preceded indeath by her husband, Joseph H. Polus, in 1996; her stepmother, Cora(Briggs) Monter; two sisters, Sister Mary Joanita and Ethel Heppner; threebrothers, John, Paul and Austin Monter. A Mass of Christian Burial will becelebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo withRev. Fr. William Bantz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk FuneralHome in Louisville.
