George S. Houck
George Samuel Houck, 87, of Parkersburg died Dec. 5, 2005, at the Worthington Manor.
He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Wood County, a son of the late John Emery and Georgia Reeder Houck. He retired from RCA as an electrical engineer and formerly worked for General Electric. He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor of arts degree in electrical engineering. He was also a member of the Medford United Methodist Church in Medford, N.J.
He is survived by one sister, Beatrice Madison of Everett, Wash.; one brother, Reeder Houck of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Roberta Kerr Houck; three sisters, Mary Newbanks, Clara Dowler and Helen Ruth Houck; and brother, John Emery Houck Jr.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

George Samuel Houck, 87, of Parkersburg died December 5, 2005 at the Worthington Manor. He was born November 27, 1918 in Wood County a son of the late John Emery and Georgia Reeder Houck.
