Clegg The hands on the clock of life have stopped with the passing of Donald E. Clegg, age 90, of East Canton on Thursday May 16, 2013. He was born March 8, 1923 the fourth child of twelve children to the late John and Ollie (Ludwig) Clegg in Wood County, WV. He married Delores Tressell September 23, 1950; in their union they had five daughters, Pauline, Shirley, Bonnie, Patricia and Peggy. Donald lived a simple life, took up his cross daily, and always put in a full day of hard work. He retired July 1996 from Crescent Brick Company after 53 ½ years of service. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters; son­in­law, Donald Pinkerton; his first born daughter, Pauline. He is survived by his wife, Delores to whom he was married 62 ½ years; four daughters and sonsin­law, Shirley Pinkerton, Bonnie and Jerry Elliott, Patty and Scott Bailey, Peggy and Alan Mugford; ten grandchildren, Jason and Jaime Elliott, David Clegg, Phillip Mugford, Seth, Samuel, Shiloh, Selena, Shaina and Silas Bailey; three great­grandchildren; one brother, Delbert; two sisters, Betty Merrow and Helen Schoeppner. The family would like to thank Aultman Dialysis, Aultman Hospice and the many others who cared for Donald. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 1:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Michael D. Jones officiating. Friends may call one hour before services on Tuesday (12­1pm). Donald will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Dad you have lived, loved and labored with a will now is your time to rest.
