  Bauman, Daisy Burdella Bauman, nee Rufener Source: The Marietta [Ohio] Times; 19 Feb 2005 [online] WOODSFIELD - Daisy Burdella Bauman, 102, formerly of Sardis, Ohio, died Thursday (Feb. 17, 2005) in the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield, Ohio. She was born Sept. 2, 1902, in Sardis, Ohio, the daughter of the late Randolph and Martha J. Price Rufener. She was a member of the Mount Olive Quilting Club, Hilltop Homemakers, and a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Sardis. Daisy was a loving mother, grandmother, and a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Fred W. Bauman on May 30, 1978; six brothers; four sisters; and three great-grandchildren. Survivors include five daughters, Delores (Ray) Straub, Marilyn (Roy) Ensinger, Janet (Sam) Straub, all of Sardis, Arlen (Lawrence) Winkler of Caldwell, Ohio, and Janis (Fred) Miller of New Matamoras; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Edna Mizer and Pearle Barrick, both of Woodsfield, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 20) at Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, Ohio, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Donald Hitchcock officiating. Interment is in Zion Memorial Garden, Sardis.
