She graduated from St. Marys High School and attended Marietta College. She married Paul Patterson Dearth in 1939 and they raised 3 children, Susan, Michael & Mark. She is survived by her brother, Bob Gruber; sisters-in-law, Anne Gruber and Imogene Gruber; daughter, Susan; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Dearth; grandchildren, Julie, Jennifer and Matthew; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, H. Ben, Jr. and Jerry Gruber; and her sons, Michael and Mark. A private service will be later at the convenience of the family.
