He was born Oct. 2, 1926 in Rinard Mills, Ohio, son to the late John Frederick and Laura (Smith) Weckbacher. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and retired from the Timken Company in 1982 following 36 years of service. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for many years. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Madalyn Weckbacher; son, John Weckbacher; granddaughter, Rachel Weckbacher; sisters, Ada (Harry) Armstrong, Hazel (William) Wright, Ina (Jesse) Strickling, Virginia (Harold) Moore; brothers, Lester, Denzil and Clyde Weckbacher and sister- in-law, Virginia Holiday. Survivors include his son, Scott Weckbacher; granddaughters, Olivia (Nicholas) Nolf, Katlyn Weckbacher; sister, Vera Scott of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers-in- law, Robert Royer, Glenn (Jean) Royer; sisters-in-law, Velma Weckbacher of North Canton, Yvonne Weckbacher of New Matamoras, Jerry Blile and Doris Regas and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
