Obituary
Wesley Gerald Zwick, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born December 3, 1940 in Canton, Ohio to the late Gerald Zwick and Rozella (Conrad) Zwick. Wesley began his career with The Timken Company in 1959, where he worked in the steel mill for 37 years.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, brother Loyal Zwick, sisters Darlene McCreary and Kathy Guthrie, and his beloved daughter Linda Lee Zwick.
Wesley is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Zwick and Christine Zwick; four grandchildren, Lindsey (James) Corkish, Cierra Sweet, Michael Sweet, and Alison Kirby; brothers, David Zwick and Daniel Clouston; sisters, Charlotte (Don) Clouston, Sharon (Martin) Streharsky, and Jacqueline (Dale) Dodrill. He is also survived by his special love of 40 years, Judy App of Bolivar, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Wesley enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, and riding his Harley. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved Judy, his family, and his numerous friends in Ohio and Florida.
His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and hospice staff who provided loving care to Wesley throughout his battle with cancer.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Friday morning at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Miller as Celebrant. Calling hours (with social distancing and masks) will be 6-8pm Thursday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home. Wes will be laid to rest in St. Louis Parish Cemetery.
