  [S927] Obituary. LAWRENCE SCHAFER DIES IN NOBLE CO. CALDWELL - Lawrence Schafer, 72, prominent farmer of the Fulda community, died at his home Sunday evening following an illness. He had been in failing health for the past year. He suffered a stroke of paralysis last November and never recovered. A son of John and Elenore Debold Schafer, he was born and spent his entire life in the Fulda community. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the last surviving member of his family. He married Mary N. Fisher and she preceded him in death three years ago. Surviving are six daughters and three sons: Mrs. Adaline Kramer of Canton; Henry, of the home; Francis, of South Olive; Mrs. Sophia Crock, of South Olive, Mrs. Louise Nau of Dexter City; Mrs. Henrietta Crock of Dexter City; Shubert (sic), of Fulda; Mrs. Clara Michael and Elenore Schafer, both of Canton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o?clock at St. Mary's Catholic church at Fulda with Rev. Fr. B. J. Mattes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
