Wilma Mae Kirkbride Smith, 94, formerly of New Matamoras died at the Arbors of Marietta Saturday April 28, 2012. She was born on October 23, 1917 in Rinard Mills, Ohio the daughter of George Edward and Florence Victoria Wallace Weckbacher. She was a beautician and owned Wilma's Beauty Salon at Clarington, Ohio and she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Clarington, Ohio. She was married to James Edwin Smith and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1986. She is survived by one sister June Mobberly of Marietta and one brother Carl Weckbacher of Beach City, Ohio. She was preceded by one son George Edmund Kirkbride who died on June 22, 2010 and four sisters Blanche Cline, Mary Mikes, Opal Reel and Frieda Kendall. Two brothers Paul Weckbacher and an infant brother. At her request she will be cremated and there will be no services. Her remains will be interred in Matamoras Cemetery.
