Born May 6, 1921, in Koppel, he was the son of the late Charles and Marie Richner Roberts. He had retired in 1983 from the former Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Company with 43 years of service. He served his country for 3 1/2 years during World War II in the U.S. Army, 451st Army Engineers, and was awarded two bronze stars, Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Wayne Roberts, and a brother, Charles Roberts.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Parsons Roberts; his best friend, Alex Nicholas Tita, and Marcy Lynn Tita; a daughter, Doris; a sister, Elizabeth McElfresh, and his uncle and lifelong friend and buddy, Thomas Gilbert Roberts, of Fort Wayne, IN.
Bill will be missed by all that knew him.
A private visitation was held on Friday in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.
Interment followed in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver.
