Death yesterday morning claimed Jacob L Taylor, 69, United States grain inspector. Taylor died at his home 2258 South Governor street, at 2 o'clock following an illness of one year of heart disease and complications." "Taylor maintained a laboratory in the courthouse where he tested grain grown in this vicinity and shipped to this city. He was born in Troy and has been a resident of this city of many years." "... funeral services ... Church of Assumption. Burial will be in st. Joseph cemetery." "Surviving are the widow, Frances; four sons, H.L., Thomas and Homer of this city and Frank of Oakland, Cal.; three daughter, Mrs Henry Tretter, Mrs Fred Hammerstein and Mrs Chester Goodge of this city ...."
