Schneider, 93, 215 Grand Ave., Merrill, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 16, 1988 at Pine Crest Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 4, 1894, in Louisville,* Ohio, daughter of George and Mary Smith. She married Clarence Schneider, Feb. 14, 1916, in Woodsfield, Ohio. He died Dec. 4, 1975. She had lived in the area since 1924. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Merrill. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lavern (Perthena) Culver, and Mrs. Quintin (Thelma) Schneider, both of Merrill; one son, Cedric Schneider, Merrill; four brothers, Charles Smith and Elmer Smith, Dalton, Ohio, Henry Smith, Louisville, Ohio, and Fred Smith, Summerfield, Ohio; two sisters, Freda Smith, Dalton, Ohio, and Mrs. Lyria Kestner, Massillon, Ohio, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son, George, one daughter, Mary, two sisters and one brother died earlier. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, in the Taylor-Mann-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Dale G. Kuck will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park.
