Ann was born in Jersey City, NJ on November 21, 1906 to the late George and Catherine Ruf. She attended Drake Business School and worked for Clark-Dodge Co. on Wall St., NY City, prior to her marriage. She lived in Ingleside Retirement Apts. for 16 years where she enjoyed many friends. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William G. Lohmann; a sister; 2 brothers; a granddaughter-in-law; and a grandson-in-law. She is survived by her daughter, Ann "Mimi" Marvel and her husband, Bob, of Wilmington, DE, with whom she lived; her son, William R. Lohmann and his wife, Angela, of Avalon, NJ; her grandchildren, Douglas Lohmann and wife, Diane, and their children, Angela, Monica, Anna and Maria, Kimberly Mirenda, W. Craig Marvel and wife, Stephanie, and their children, Jessica Amanda and Austin, Ann Lynch and husband, David, and their children, Ethan and Megan; as well as her beloved friend, Mrs. Helen Dunn. The family would like to acknowledge with appreciation her compassionate caregivers, Virginia Whittaker, Barbara Richards, Bouyar Benson and the staff of Heartland Hospice House, including Dr. Daniel DiPetropaulo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at 11 am in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Rd., Wilmington, where family and friends may call at 10 am.
