He was born June 19, 1923, in Monroe County, son of the late Otis and Blanche Brown Leasure. He retired from Conalco Corp., Hannibal and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Protestant by faith, a member of American Legion Post 87, a former member of the Monroe County Fair Board and a former 4-H adviser. He also was a member of the board of directors of Mt. Tabor Cemetery Association, United States Harness Association. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Leasure. Mr. Leasure leaves his wife, Clara Lee Ricer Leasure; four daughters, Sandra Griffin and Lee Ann Smithberger, both of Marietta, Sue Fussell of Lewisville and Lora Jean Grubb of Columbus; four brothers, Junior Leasure of Summerfield, Roger Leasure of Lewisville; Lloyd Leasure of Graysville and Edward Leasure of Byesville; a sister, Margaret Dillon of Mt. Gilead; and eight grandchildren Friends may call from 2:30 to 9 P.M. today at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, where services will be 3 P.M. Saturday with the Rev. Bruce Smith officiating. Military graveside services will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Summerfield.
