Friedrich Sayler, Sr Birth: Aug. 11, 1842 Ivanivka Mykolayivs'ka, Ukraine Death: Sep. 7, 1916 Venturia McIntosh County North Dakota, USA Friedrich SAYLER born 11 August 1842 in Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia was the son of Gottlieb SAYLER Sr. and Margaretha SAUER. Friedrich married Margaretha SCHEMPP on the 30th of November 1865 in Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia. This union was blessed with no less than 9 children. Friedrich at the age of 43 with his wife Margaretha and their children; Magdalena, Gottlieb, Elisabetha, Jacob, Katharina and Johannes, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany aboard the SS "Fulda" and arrived at the Port of New York, New York on the 13th of April 1885. The Friedrich SAYLER family settled on a homestead 3½ miles south of Venturia in McIntosh County, North Dakota.
