Alma L. Meyer, 97 of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on March 24, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. Alma was born in Chanute, Kansas on June 15, 1917.
She was married to Carl Lyle Meyer on June 18, 1935. Alma was a housewife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting fishing and was an avid KU basketball fan. She was also actively involved in volunteering at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chanute, Neosho County 4-H, and Neosho County Home Extension where she was a member for 75 years.
Alma is survived by her daughter Jeannene V. White (John) and son Don L. Meyer (Linda); 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Alma is preceded in death by her husband, her parents Gus and Julia Breiner, and her brother Leroy”Bud” Breiner (Bernice).
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 am on March 28, 2015 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Father Barnabas Maria Susai officiating. Rosary will be at 10:30 am. A burial service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas at 4:00 pm, Father Michael Linnebur officiating.
