Thouvenin Age 53, died Friday in his home after an extended illness. He was a life resident of Canton and was a graduate of St. Benedict's Grade School and a 1975 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Dan also attended Stark Technical College and was a graduate of the University of Akron. He was employed by American Electric Power Company for 29 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where he served as an Usher and was a former Assistant Scout Master of Troop 126 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survived by his wife, Cheryl (Kelley) Thouvenin; daughter, Brittany Thouvenin; son, Chad Thouvenin all of the home; his mother, Gertrude D. Thouvenin of East Canton; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Nancy Berg of Navarre, Jean and David Agnes of Canton, Marian and Michael Appel of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Karen and David Ray of Paris, Ohio; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lawrence Jr. and Vivien Thouvenin of Alliance and Joseph Thouvenin of Canton. Preceded in death by his father, Lawrence I. Thouvenin; and a sister, Margaret Ann Thouvenin. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Catholic Church with Msgr. John Finnigan as Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.
