Zanesville - Otto J. Heil, 90, of Zanesville, died at 9 p.m. Friday, May 8, 1998, at Genesis Good Samaritan Campus, Zanesville, afternoon after a sudden illness.
Born August 17, 1907, in Fulda, Noble County, he was a retired house painter and former employee of Good Samaritan. Mr. Heil designed and constructed the Grotto near the old Good Samaritan Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Surviving are one sister, Louise Ann Crowley of Zanesville; two brothers, William L. and Ephraim F. Heil, both of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret (Gerst) Heil; and one sister, Mary A. Cornett.
