Unger Dau of John & Elena (nee Pabst) Nieb Obituary from The Marietta Times, Marietta, Ohio - Feb. 11, 1978 Elsie Lenora Unger, 79, of 205 Dale St. died at 6:45 p.m. yesterday at the Marie Antoinette Nursing Home. She was born April 3, 1898, in Monroe County, a daughter of the late John and Elena Pabst Nieb. In 1920, she married William Unger, who survives. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Delbert of Lowell Rt. 2; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Denhart of Plantation, Fla.; a brother, Paul Nieb of Marietta; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbert (Estha) Warren of Nelsonville; Mrs. Byron (Elma) Parks and Mrs. Lawrence (Edna) Gutheil, both of Marietta; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cawley Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
