Moore, William D. (Dinty) Moore

William D. (Dinty) Moore, 61, of Wolf Run Road, Caldwell, died Tuesday, July 27, at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born June 19, 1921, in Noble County a son of Olive Stottsbery Moore and the late Harry M. Moore.
He was a retired civil engineer and surveyor for the state of Ohio having worked 36 years for the state.
A veteran of WW II, he was a member of the Caldwell VFW, the Caldwell United Methodist Church and the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gloria Rocco Moore of the home; a son, Donald W. Moore of Cambridge; a brother, Jim Moore of Dayton; a sister, Mrs. Vera Thornberry of Miami, Fla. and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McVay Funeral Home in Caldwell where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Roy Walther and Monsignor Lawrence Luciana officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
