Frances Haugarth, 93, died April 8, 2006 in a local hospital.
Services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday at Eastgate Funeral Service Chapel, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 9 PM Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service.
Frances Leingang was born March 8, 1913, in St. Anthony, ND, the daughter of John and Amelia (Koch) Leingang. She was raised and educated in St. Anthony. Frances married George Haugarth on April 15, 1939, in Bismarck. After their marriage, they moved to Mandan. In 1947, the family moved to Bismarck. Frances lived in her own home until 1998. She has lived at the Terrace for the last three years. She enjoyed many years of gardening, fishing, and the outdoors. Frances cherished her visits with family and friends.
Frances will be lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Nancy, Phoenix, AZ, Raymond and Janel, Bloomington, MN, and Dave and Ann, Bismarck, ND; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine Dunlap and Ken Theil, Denver, CO, Sharon and Arlis Kellogg, Kingman, AZ, Virginia and Doug Riley, Fruita, CO, Karen and Larry Mallery, Cheyenne, WY, Patricia Haugarth, Rochester, MN, Lois Haugarth-Miersch, Denver, CO, and Linda and DeLonce Synstegard, Bismarck, ND; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Frohlich, Bismarck, ND; one sister-in-law, Betty Leingang, Mandan, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; five brothers, Adam, Nick, John, George, and Joseph; and two sisters, Amelia Yantzer and Barbara Steinert.
