In fact, he travelled back to Germany, for reasons unknown. There is a record of him returning to Ellis Island in 1914, listing his residence as Bayonne (also states he is married).The only William that comes up (1857-8) is married to Mary Boltz (maiden name via some children's birth records). Census records show two different middle initials for Mary.There are two recorded birth on January 5,1896....Elizabeth W. and Annie M. So I assumed they were twins.The 1900 census shows a daughter, Amelia and Elizabeth (so I thought Annie died).
