Robert V. Shutler EAST LIVERPOOL - Robert Vern Shutler, 74, of 1032 Dresden Ave., died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday at the home of his son, Doug Shutler of Salem. Born Oct. 18, 1929, in Deerfield, he was the son of Robert Lee and Esther (Seibert) Shutler. Mr. Shutler was last employed at the Transue Williams Co. in Alliance for 11 years. He had also held jobs at Babcox and Wilcox Tubular, American Steele, Sebring Pottery and the Ford Motor Company. Other ventures included life insurance salesman, car salesman, purchasing agent at an aircraft company a care giver, roofer, electrician, short order cook in Montana, apartment manager, gardner and also worked on oil rigs. His hobbies included traveling out west and real estate. He lived in the Alliance area for 40 years and had also lived in Oregon. Survivors include three sons, Douglas L. Shutler of Salem, Kim Alan Shutler of East Rochester, and Mark D. Shutler of Beloit; a daughter, Dawn C. McNemar of Wellsville; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Shultz and Beulah Durrenda. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel United Church of Christ, 25701 Buck Road, Beloit, with Rev. Jeffrey Davis, officiating.
