He was born in Newark, N.J., and was a resident of Port St. Lucie, coming from Toms River, N.J. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Monmouth County Workshop, Red Bank. Mr. Dietsch was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 306. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia George Dietsch; sons Carl of Parlin, N.J., and John of Orlando; brother Howard Dietsch of Barnegat, N.J.; and two grandchildren. Previously, he had been a production supervisor at the Lionel Corp., Irvington, for 20 years. An Army Air Force veteran, he served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 306, Middlesex. Born in Newark, he lived in Sayreville and Toms River before moving to Florida 20 years ago.
