Michael Neuharth
Michael Alan Neuharth, 46, of Sequim, Wash. and formerly of Lodi, died April 9 in Phoenix, Ariz. of injuries from a boating accident. He was born Jan. 3, 1959, in Lodi.
Mr. Neuharth graduated from Sequim High School in 1977, and married Judy Petzing in 1979. He was self-employed as a Logger. He was a member of Columbia Drag Boat Racing Association and was an accredited logger with W.C.L.A. He enjoyed all water sports, skiing, dirt-bike riding and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Neuharth, of Sequim, Wash.; son, Timothy Neuharth, of Sequim; daughters, Rachel Neuharth, of Chandler, Ariz., and Janice Peterson, of Port Angeles, Wash.; sisters, Amy Nichols and Pam Neuharth, both of Tempe, Ariz.; brothers, Tim Neuharth, of Courtland, and Jay Neuharth, of Bishkek, Kyrgystan; mother, Marlene Neuharth, of Stockton; and step-mother, Maria Neuharth, of Sequim.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Neuharth.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Independent Bible Church, 116 E. Ahlvers Road, Port Angeles, Wash., with Pastor Jack Clap officiating. A celebration of life will follow at Gossage's Shop, 287 Black Diamond Road, Port Angeles, Wash. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Drennan & Ford Funeral Home, 260 Monroe Road, Port Angeles, Wash.

Sequim resident Michael Alan Neuharth died from injuries from a crash during a race sponsored by the Columbia Drag Boat Association at Phoenix.
He was born in Lodi, Calif., to Eugene and Marlene Jean (Mueller) Neuharth and graduated from Sequim High School in 1977.
Mr. Neuharth married Judy Petzing in Sequim on June 23, 1979.
He was a self-employed logger and owner of Bay Timber & Construction Co. in Sequim, accredited by the Washington Contractors Logging Association.
Mr. Neuharth enjoyed spending time with family and friends when not involved in water sports, skiing or dirt-bike riding.
Survivors include his wife, son Timothy and stepmother Maria Neuharth, all of Sequim; daughters Rachel Neuharth of Chandler, Ariz., and Janice Peterson of Port Angeles; mother of Stockton, Calif.; sisters Amy Nichols and Pam Neuharth, both of Tempe, Ariz.; and brothers Tim Neuharth of Courtland, Calif., and Jay Neuharth of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Services: Visitation today, April 15, at 4-6 p.m. in Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, 260 Monroe Road, Port Angeles.
