At 6:45 last evening our family said good-bye to a gentle giant, a grumbling hulk of a guy who was all bark and no bite, a guy who would give you the shirt off his back, if he'd had one to give, and a guy whose far-fetched & ridiculous prank phone calls I shall miss greatly. My younger brother, Paul, (60) was in poor health most of his life, was unlucky in life, largely through no fault of his own, and was eager to finally find peace, bravely choosing to stop dialysis and enter Hospice House in mid-February. The last several years have been particularly taxing on him and we are happy to know he is now at peace & serenely comfortable in heaven. Many thanks go out from our family to those of you who have been keeping him, and all of us, in your thoughts and prayers throughout the last many difficult months. The term 'Rest In Peace' never rang truer for me than it did last evening.
