  [S927] Obituary. Mary E. Kreider 87, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11:56 am. at Tipton House, Huntington. Mrs. Kreider was a 1942 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality. She was also a 33-year member of the Huntington County Home Extension Club. She retired in 2001 from Zahm Greenhouse, Huntington, and had also worked at Keefer Greenhouse in Andrews. She had been a winter resident of Lake Placid, FL, for the past 23 years. She was born July 3, 1923, in Huntington County to Paul Sr. and Virgilia Karst Zahm. She married Martin H. Kreider on Oct. 18, 1947, in Huntington. Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2005. Survivors include three sons, Phillip P. (Denise) Kreider, Lawrence A. (L.T.) Kreider and Michael H. Kreider, all of Huntington; three daughters, Mary L. (William) Cary, of Upland, CA, and Helen R. Goble and Kathleen K. (John) Rakoczy, both of Huntington; a brother, Paul (Kate) Zahm Jr., of Huntington; a sister, Angeline Crumpacker, of Huntington; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Calling is Sunday, April 3, 2011, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held Monday, April 4, 2011, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 840 Cherry St., Huntington, with Rev. Ron Rieder officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Preferred memorials are gifts to SS.
