Funeral Sunday At Prophetstown For Mary Wirth PROPHETSTOWN Mrs. Mary Messier Wirth, 66, native of this city, died at 8:18 Friday morning in Sterling Public hospital after an extended illness. She had been in the hospital one day. The body was taken to the Mel vin funeral home and was brought to the Gardner chapel here this morning where services will be con ducted at 2 o'clock Sunday after noon. Mrs. Wirth was born Oct. 23, 1883, in Prophetstown, daughter of the late Moritz and Josephine Messier. She was married to Jacob Wirth in 1899 in Hooppole and lived there most of her life, except the last seven years when she re sided in Denver with her twin sis ter, Mrs. Anna Roberts. She came to Sterling last August to live with her daughter, Mrs. August Cassens. Surviving are four sons and three daughters, James Wirth of Phoph etstown, Mrs. Earle Wetzell of Rock Falls, Edward Lee Wirth of Wyanet, Kenneth Wirth of Al buquerque, N. M.; Mrs. August Cas sens of Sterling, Mrs. John Giese of Sterling and Harold Wirth of Prophetstown; also 12 grandchil dren and one great-grandchild, a brother, Allie Messier, of Prophets town; four sisters, Mrs. Rena Kish of New York City, Mrs. Lena Christiansen and Mrs. Louisa Clark of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Anna Rob erts of Denver. Her husband died in 1942.
