Bio: Mary Lou Wise (McAllister), age 77, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at The Sanctuary. Mary Lou was a long time member of League of Women Voters. She faithfully served Holy Angels Parish for more than 40 years in many capacities. She was an avid UD basketball fan and loved athletics and the outdoors. Mary Lou adored her grandchildren and enjoyed Cindy's dog, Louie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and sister, Loretta Carpenter. Mary Lou is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cynthia W. and Steven Barnicki, Milwaukee, WI; sons and daughter in law, Raymond Wise, Knoxville, TN, Robert and Jennifer Wise, Bellbrook; sister, Anita Gump, Kent, OH; grandchildren, Emily, Ian, Phillip, Mary and Elisabeth. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Meyer-Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home, 1733 Brown St., Dayton. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Dayton. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made in Mary Lou's memory to League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area Education Fund, Talbott Tower, Suite 1208, 131 N. Ludlow St., Dayton, OH, 45402.
