Punderich is near Bullay on the Mosel River in West Germany John Scher arrived in Baltimore, Maryland on June 20, 1842. He was 21 years old. He had come to the United States aboard the ship "Albert". In about 1855, he and his family moved to Dubuque Co., Iowa and again in 1866 to Huntington Co., Indiana.
