They have a son named Frank Wegman, age 23 or born about 1897. There is a marriage on 30 June 1919 in Rochester between Lawrence A. Wegman age 25 bn. The Holy Ghost Cemetery in Gates, Monroe, New York
This cemetery is located in the Town of Gates across the street from the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, which is at 220 Coldwater Road.
It is difficult to date the official beginning date of this cemetery. The Church was organized in 1876 and the cemetery probably began soon after. Church records for the Rochester diocese were filmed in the mid-1980s. Because of privacy concerns, only the records up to December 31, 1910 were filmed. The earliest existing records for Holy Ghost Church begin on January 1, 1909. Thus, a few burial records from 1909 (4 records) and 1910 (8 records) are also included.
The tombstone inscriptions in this list were copied in August 1993 by Richard T. Halsey.

Message: Hello Ted, My Great Great Grandfather was John Wegman father of August my Great Grandfather. John passed on in 1885 at age 63 --FYI --. My ancestors are all buried in Holy Ghost Cemetary in Gates, New York up to and including relatives who passed in the last year or so. As far as I know, we are pure Kraut (note the capital "K"). We settled the Gates area back when it was still nice -- must have been a long time ago. The ancestoral home was on Wegman Road in Gates and was burned to the ground in 1940 due to a furnace fire. The house was 100 years old at the time. The structure that replaced it and atop the old foundation is still intact. Give me a hollar on what you know and perhaps we can swap stories. Warning --the Wegmans are an incurious group for some reason. My Dad couldn't care less about the past and ditto for my Grandfather and my Uncles. If it wasn't for my Mother and one of my Aunts who lived beyond 100 years, I am sure they would never have told a thing! Sounds like they were good guys who you were best NOT crossed, but preoccupied with working hard and making a comfortable living -- which they often did exceedingly well. regards, Richard Wegman
